First, these St. Rose of Lima aprons and heating/cooling packs are made by a parishioner of St. Rose, and 100% of the price of them goes to the St. Rose stained glass window restoration fund.

The same local woman also sews and embroiders these missal and Bible covers. We have them in a variety of colors without embroidery, and also some with an embroidered angel. She can also custom-embroider them with your name or another figure of your choosing.

These wooden candle holders are made by a local Quincy man, who cuts them from a block of wood, stains and varnishes them, and insets a holy card.

The book From Slave to Priest, by Sister Caroline Hemesath, continues to be a popular seller. It is the biography of Fr. Augustus Tolton, who was born a slave and became the first black Catholic priest from the United States. He served as a parish priest in Quincy before being transferred to Chicago, and is now being considered for canonization. Fr. Tolton is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Quincy, and local interest in his life is sure to grow as his cause proceeds.
